"Cheaters" - Tricks of the Trade!
Full-day seminar
Have you ever wondered about, or do you need to know, the techniques used by the most effective unfaithful spouses? Nick Harris Detectives was established in 1906 and is the oldest U.S. owned private investigations agency. This seminar will also cover cuffing, take-down and self-defense techniques. Information is presented in a combination of hands-on, video, lecture, and field exercises. Primary instructor, J. Corey Friedman, has 20+ years experience in fugitive recovery, a background in law enforcement, and a black belt in Ketsugo Ju-jitsu.

Internet Search Techniques for the PI
Full-day seminar
This seminar will teach you how to find the location of people, their assets, their source of employment, and much more. You will learn where information can be accessed for FREE or very low cost. Free trials to several database services, live examples, and the opportunity to practice searches will also be provided to seminar participants. A review of numerous databases including how to set up
accounts, eligibility requirements, a CD, and a book are included.
This is a hands-on seminar; participants can bring actual cases for
assistance and demonstration. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop with WiFi, but it is not required to participate.

Telephone Investigations
8-hour seminar (two evenings)
Learn how to get unlisted numbers, trace phone calls, legal pretexting techniques, how to get cell phone numbers, and reverse directories. Learn techniques for tracking and locating prepaid cell phones. Almost all of the techniques taught are FREE or low-cost. The course format is a mix of lecture and hands-on learning, lead by instructor J. Corey Freidman.

Lockpicking and Security
Full-day or two half-days
Learn how to pick locks and how to secure a residence or business. Learn how to instantly spot the security weaknesses of any location. This class will teach you how easy it is to gain entrance through just about any locked door with only simple locksmith tools.
The course fee includes everything you need to obtain a California State Locksmith License, including fingerprinting/Live Scan, state application fees, and all course materials. All qualified students will receive a temporary California State Locksmith License at the end of the class.
Note: Participation in this class is restricted to law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel, and pre-approved private investigators.
Register early, this is usually a sell out class!

GPS Tracking
4-hour seminar
Course fee includes a GPS tracking device with one month free tracking and no future commitments!
Hands-on review of several manufacturers and models of GPS units. You will learn the strengths and weaknesses of the various devices available in the marketplace. Live demonstrations of equipment will be provided. Selling or renting GPS tracking devices to your clients is a great way to increase your business.
Note: You must pre-register 10 days prior to class to receive the tracking device at the class. If you wish to continue service, cost is aproximately $15/month for unlimited use.

Executive Protection Seminar
7, 14, or 21-day program
This class teaches the ultimate in executive protection detail and bodyguard techniques. It involves not only lecture but practical exercises so the student will feel comfortable and confident when he/she is actually on the job.
Instructors include a retired LAPD officer, the director of Nick Harris Detective Academy, former police officers and a retired Secret Service Agent who provided personal protection for a former President of the United States.

Getting Public Records
Full-day seminar
This is Don Ray's most popular class. This class is a little different in that you will get one-on-one time with Don because we are keeping the class size small.
As you may know, Don is a very humorous speaker, but he will cram your mind with all kinds of new techniques. He truly is the master locator of public records. Have you ever not found or didn't know where to look for some documentation? This is the guy to talk to!

Understanding the Polygraph and Lie Detection
Full-day seminar
Learn how to use and how to beat digital and analog polygraph machines. Learn the differences between the various manufacturers' offerings. This seminar will combine hands-on training and lecture.
The objective of this class is to help enable investigators to book polygraph exams and sound knowledgable to their clients. This class will help most any investigator to book additional business for lie detection services.
Note: This class is not intended to teach students how to conduct polygraph examinations on their own.

Build a PI website
Full-day or two half-day seminar
Learn how to build a FREE or low-cost website which you can maintain and update very easily. No prior web design experience is needed. You will also learn how to get free web hosting. At the end of the class each student will have their own cost-free website.
The price of the class is far less than the cost of a hiring a programmer to do even a basic web site!

Rekeying Locks
6-hour seminar
Learn how to rekey locks so the old key will not work and a new key will work, without replacing the lock. This is a very handy skill for helping clients who have been burglarized; you can immediately provide security by rekeying the locks.
This class is also available to property owners and managers. The average cost to rekey two locks on a house or apartment is aproximately $100 on a non-emergency basis! This class will pay for itself after just a couple of jobs.
Course fee includes tools, supplies, and keys for rekeying Kwikset-type and Schlage-type knobsets, lever handles, and deadbolts; the same locks used on approximately 95% of all homes and apartments.

Registration requires a 30% non-refundable deposit. Deposits are transferrable to another student for the same class and session. Payments can be made by check, VISA, MasterCard, PayPal (friedmancollege@usa.com), or cash. Balance is due 10 days prior to the day of the seminar. Participation size is limited, and these events are expected to be sold out. If any class should be cancelled, you will receive a full refund within 10 business days of cancellation.
